Fruehauf season isn't quite here (given the wild springtime weather) but it's just around the corner so our awesome Crag Care volunteers teamed up with Hobart City Council's Bushcare to put some love into the Fruehauf surrounds.
With a fantastic turnout we had multiple teams working in different areas.
A team headed up by two experienced HCC track builders set in place some large rocks along the path leading up to the climbing area to halt erosion around the beautiful blue gum adjacent to the path.
A planting crew working with a HCC botanist planted over 100 natives including Lomandra, ferns and hop bush
Removal of woody weeds like elderberry and English broom throughout the area
Removal of silt build up in the drainage channel on the climbing area platform and a general sweep down of the area.
Thanks to everyone who came along. The crag is looking great and we're looking forward to enjoying some springtime and summer evenings at the cliff.
Thanks to Olivia Page for the great photos!
